Managing special hours on your Google Business Profile for holidays, closures, or modified schedules just got a bit easier! Google has introduced a new feature that allows you to set special hours for one location and seamlessly copy them to multiple locations directly from your profile—whether you're on mobile (via Maps) or desktop. This is the first bulk editing feature in Google Business, saving you time.
How it works
Here’s a quick guide on how to utilize this new feature:
- Go to your business location and click "edit profile".
- Select "Hours" and scroll towards Special hours.
- Click on the pencil to add new special hours.
- Add the special hours for this single location. Click "Save"
- Select all other locations you want to copy these hours to. You can select "Select all" or location by location. Click "Save".
All selected locations will automatically adopt the exact same special hours, overriding any existing ones. Be sure to double-check your selections before saving to avoid any unintended changes!

Important Considerations
While this feature is incredibly useful, there are a few important considerations to keep in mind:
- Account limitations: This feature is currently only available for accounts managing 100 locations or fewer. If you’re part of a larger brand with more than 100 locations, you may not have access to this feature.
- Clear old hours first: Before using the "Copy Hours" feature, it’s advisable to clear any old hours. It will copy everything, including special hours from three holidays ago. To ensure accuracy, take a moment to review and clear any outdated hours.
- Full override: Keep in mind that this feature performs a full override. Any special hours already set at the selected locations will be replaced with the new hours you are copying.
